A sister and a brother miss the bus to school and play truant… a praise for freedom and the pleasure to rediscover one’s environment.
At dawn in a sleeping village, two figures, a sister and a brother, run out from their house. Too late: they missed the bus.
Arguing, they decide to walk to school. Soon, they must stop fighting to avoid the questions of a policeman doing his round. Hiding behind a boat, they snigger and make up: to hell with school! They will steal this day to routine… Along the day, they laugh a lot, thieve a small boat, ferret around a port warehouse, climb a cliff and even bathe in the cold sea.
But mostly, they walk: on the paths, through the fields, paying attention to the beauty surrounding them, either in the wild landscapes or in the coloured piles of riggings and fishing nets. Punctuated with arguments and reconciliations, this daylong expedition will test their bond and bring them back home, as if nothing had happened.
