Architecture Everywhere
About this book
From beehives to high-rises, amazing architecture is everywhere!
From yurts to beaver dams and spiders’ webs to suspension bridges, Architecture Everywhere reveals the brilliant design all around us. David Huang brings the subject to life with intricate illustrations packed with humour, character and flashes of neon pink. Short, engaging texts reveal how structures work: how a skyscraper’s foundations are laid, how termite mounds regulate temperature, how spiders use different types of silk to construct their webs, and how airports are designed to move thousands of passengers through their spaces.
Dynamic, accessible and fascinating for all ages, Architecture Everywhere is an inspiring introduction to extraordinary structures built from steel, wood, silk, dung and saliva!THE AUTHOR-ILLUSTRATOR
