THE AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR
Lorena Bayona is a Colombian illustrator. She grew up in Bogota and loves being in nature whether it is a quick walk with her dog Polo or planting trees with her father. Experiences and memories like these have influenced her current work where she blends adventure and storytelling into captivating visual narratives. With an advertising background, her love for stories and different media sparked her interest in illustration. Lorena works mainly with traditional mediums such as gouache, colored pencils, and collage to create rich textures and colors. When she is not at her studio she loves getting outdoors to hike, see new places with her husband Garrett, or anything that keeps her moving and inspired.
