How Do You Enter a Room?
There are so many ways to enter a room. Which one suits you?
Do you burst through doors with a smile, ready to chat with everyone? Or do you slip in quietly, preferring to observe? Maybe you head straight for the snacks, or pause dramatically to make an entrance?
How Do You Enter a Room? considers all the different ways kids experience social situations — from the exuberantly outgoing to the quietly watchful. Warm, witty, and genuinely inclusive, it helps children recognize and respect that everyone moves through the world a little differently.
THE AUTHOR
Madeline Harris Chan oves exploring how our unique and evolving personalities and circumstances impact the ways we navigate the world, find joy, and experience wonder. She is grateful to live with her husband and three small children in Vancouver, BC.
THE ILLUSTRATOR
Dawn Lo is an illustrator who grew up in both Hong Kong and Canada. She has illustrated Hello Baby, It’s Me, Alfie, One Tiny Bubble and Sally’s Puppy Adventures. Dawn may tiptoe quietly into a crowded room, but if there are snacks or crafts, she zooms from shy to sparkly.
