THE AUTHOR
Wai Mei Wong is a Canadian chilhood educator and children's books author. With her previous works ("Hello Dark", "I Love Myself") she was shorlisted for the 2022 IODE Jean Throop Book Award and made the 2022 CCBC Spring Best Books for Kids & Teens Selection. In 2024, she was featured on CBC Television Kids Book Club, Canada. Born in Hong Kong, Mei now lives in Toronto.
THE ILLUSTRATOR
Kornelija Žalypité is an educator and illustrator from Lithuania. Through her work, she likes to draw nature, bugs, animals, child and love mixing her media - acrylic, gouache, watercolors, colored pencils, oil pastels and water soluble crayons, markers... She was exhibited at the Bologna Illustrators' Exhibition. Her book "Hipocampus Unicornus", written by Jurga Vilė and published by 700 eilučių, was selected for inclusion in The BRAW Amazing Bookshelf in 2025.
