This silent book tells the story of a child’s life through the doors that mark each stage of her existence. It all begins in the entrance hall of a building where a young couple is moving in. A door opens onto a room they are decorating: the bedroom of their future baby.

Then a maternity ward announces a birth: here begins the life of the character we will see grow up over the pages and events, happy or upsetting, of her childhood, adolescence, and up to her first steps as an adult.

 

Each door opens to let us enter a particular moment in life that informs us about the intimacy, choices, doubts, and passions that shape an individual.
